Student Parking Application Process

UCLA has an extremely limited supply of single occupancy vehicle parking for registered students. We strongly encourage students to plan their commute in advance using UCLA Transportation’s commuter programs, which offer discounted and incentivized options.

UCLA Transportation has transitioned its parking permit process to the virtual Bruin ePermit system where your license plate is your permit. Students can apply online for a parking permit that is offered on a prioritization process. Registered students must fill out the online parking application in order to obtain a commuter, resident hall, or a two-person or three-person carpool permit.

Resident hall students with an off-campus job and commuter students who have an extenuating circumstance such as child care or an ill family member, etc. must fill out the online exemption application and upload relevant supporting documentation.

Registered students enrolled for the current quarter/semester who have a valid Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) Disabled Placard can apply for a parking exemption during fall, winter, and spring quarter or semester to obtain a parking permit. The permit will be issued for the time your disabled placard is valid.

Parking Regulations & ProcessesBruin ePermit

Parking permits are now paperless with the Bruin ePermit system. Permit holders need to register their vehicle and pay for their parking permits online through the Bruin ePermit Portal.

Permits are granted for the purpose of transportation to and from campus. Only UCLA Transportation has the authority to grant parking privileges on campus. Violations of any parking regulations are subject to disciplinary action which may be referred to the Dean of Students, and legal action may be taken
