How to Apply for Fall 2021 Student Parking

Parking Structure 8

UCLA students who wish to apply for Fall 2021 parking can do so beginning at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 2, through Sunday, August 22.

In order to apply for parking, a student must already be registered for Fall Quarter and fill out the application through the Bruin ePermit Portal. (Detailed instructions with screenshots can be found here.) Commuter students will once again need to apply for a parking permit due to increased demand.

Graduate students in a professional school will be able to purchase their Fall Quarter permit online without an application beginning Monday, August 23. School of Law students are already able to purchase a permit.

Students can apply any time during the application period, but no priority will be given to early applications. Parking permits are offered on a prioritization process as they are in limited supply and are not guaranteed. Students will be notified whether they are granted a permit on August 30 and will need to complete payment by September 3.

More information can be found on our Student Parking Permits page. UCLA Transportation also offers alternatives to driving alone to campus with a variety of commuter programs including subsidized and incentivized options.

CARPOOL

Carpool to or from campus with fellow Bruins and save money with a discounted carpool parking permit. UCLA students who apply and qualify for a carpool permit before the application deadline are given priority parking.

PUBLIC TRANSIT

UCLA Transportation subsidizes transit pass costs for seven transit agencies for all eligible UCLA students. Avoid traffic and relax, sleep, study, or read on your way to campus. Students who are new the University or new to riding transit may be eligible for a free quarterly pass through the Bruin Commuter Transit Benefit program. UCLA graduate students have access to the Bruin Grad Pass program which enables use of all local transit agencies.

BIKING & WALKING

Riding a bicycle or walking is a fun, healthy, and inexpensive way to get to and around campus. There are over 3,500 bike racks and lockers located throughout campus and the UCLA Bike Shop offers a wide selection of services to all UCLA students.
